Munro Torpedo: 15 ft: (1949-1954)
Munro claimed the Torpedo was the first fibreglass boat made in Canada. (He
was wearing a red plaid suit at the time) The DOT sticker is lost.
This boat has been in my family since the early sixties. It was out back at
Munro Boats. We originally skied with a 15 hp. engine The Merc 350 was a 16th
birthday present. Restorative work has been undertaken on the Torpedo. The transom, transom knees, plywood floor, steering cables and hull deck joint are all new.
My old “hot rod” lives currently on the big waters of Lake Huron, and
needs a new family of kids on a smaller lake
(Editor’s note: The sale includes the 35 hp Merc. engine, with low hours, which will push the Torpedo to 30 mph. Also included in the sale is a single axle trailer and two steel Mercury fuel tanks with original finish.)
