Serendipity Oaks: Wasi Lake, Powassan, Ontario
This large and bright cottage is the perfect spot for a family get together. The newly upgraded windows and patio doors fill the rooms with sunlight. The lovely blond wood flooring makes for a homey and comfortable feeling. On the main level there is an open concept kitchen/dining room area leading out to the deck, and with a fantastic view of Wasi Lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for meal preparation and clean up. The dining table will seat six people and there are some extra chairs and a folding table to accommodate a few extras.

In the living room there is comfortable seating for six people and more windows with a view to the front of the house and the veggie garden. There is a wood fireplace for cool fall evenings or a snowy day in the winter. Also on this main level there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and a three-piece ensuite. In the second bedroom there is a queen sized bed and a playpen for if there was a younger child that needed to sleep here. In the third bedroom there is a good quality double sized bed. Along the hallway there is also a four-piece bathroom.
Downstairs on the lower level, there is a large open area with a wood stove, a sectional couch, a card table with seating for four and a treadmill, all strategically placed to offer a view of the lake through a 12′ patio door and the 32″ TV with an Apple TV for access to the Internet (no cable or satellite). Also provided, if Fido is travelling with you, is a large dog crate. There is another fridge on this level as well as a sink and cupboards. Down the hall is a laundry room, and another four-piece bathroom. Internet is supplied by a Roger’s hub that offer 15Mbps. There are two double sized beds and one single in the basement.

The large deck can be accessed from both the dining/kitchen area and the master bedroom. The northern exposure provides sun for most of the day. For summer there will be an assortment of gravity chairs and loungers for relaxing. The large lawn slopes gently down to the waterfront where there is a small sandy beach (size depends on lake conditions). There is both a long boat dock and a swimming dock further out in the water. This is a small lake, and larger boats are not advisable. Fishing boats can be launched and docked right at the cottage, and there are 3 kayaks provided. There are two islands on the lake which are perfect destinations to kayak to. The larger island is crown land so can be explored. The fire pit is at the lake front where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets with your roasted marshmallows.
