News Flash on Miss Canada IV
Race boat enthusiasts will be pleased to learn that Miss Canada is expected to be in the water at about 3:00 pm in Picton Ontario. (Please see the post of Monday Sept 28th)
Extensive engine work is expected to breathe new life into her monster Rolls Royce Griffon engine. See photos and description below. (Event details at bottom of the post)
“Here are Norm Wood’s photos of Miss Canada IV’s Griffon engine being rebuilt by/with Paul Hewitt over the last few months. It looks almost unchanged from the sick puppy it was last fall, but wow is it changed! Newly rebuilt cams. New electronic ignition system. New accelerator pump. New cooling system. Rebuilt transmission with new internal relief to prevent oil damming internally. New oil cooler. The list goes on, and on, and on… Here’s to a great series of tests!”
