Price reduction on antique long deck launch:
We have been instructed by the owner to reduce the price of this rare Croswell Bros. long deck launch (22 ft, 1934) from $45,000 to $39,000.
“Miss Buzz” offers a cedar hull and ribs, professionally rebuilt by Stan Hunter in 2006. The decking is mahogany with oak trim.. The launch comes with a custom fitted canvas cover and all maintenance records since the boat was new! The engine is a four cylinder Chris-Craft Model B (60 hp) purchased in 1980 from G&B Marine Sales, then shipped to Norse Bay Boat Works in Penetang, where it was installed. (It replaced a Buchanan four cylinder engine). For further details, please see ad number pb572 on the Classic/Antique Wooden Boats page, or click on the link. pb572

Notes from the book Island Odyssey
“These three (Croswell Bros. launches) have now passed into history, but a fourth is still running today. The “Miss Buzz”, owned by Elmer Phillips, was built in 1934 and given the nickname of Mr. Phillip’s daughter Debbie. For those who remember the other three boats, “Miss Buzz” is considered the queen of her breed.. Unlike the other three, “The Buzz” has mahogany decks, with oak trim that Mr. Phillips keeps so beautifully polished you can can see your reflection in her gleaming, varnished decks. Typical of the “cheese cutters” of her day, “Miss Buzz” gracefully slices through the waves, instead of pounding over them, as modern hulls do. What she lacks in speed, she more than makes up for in elegance and style, reminiscent of a day when getting there was at least half the fun.”
