Challenge: If your family had to travel by boat, design a boat that would meet their needs, pets included!
Materials: The activity bin, drawing paper, ruler, drawing tools (crayons, pencil crayons, markers, whatever your child likes to use)
Task: Draw your design of a boat that your family might use. Label important parts. Explain how it works.
Questions/Discussion – Research: what fish or mammal can swim the fastest? What physical features give it an advantage? Apparently one creature can swim faster than cars travel on our highways. Why do dolphins fly out of the water when swimming at speed?
